It's been an electrifying week in the West End with theatre lovers delighting in the 23rd annual WhatsOnStage Awards. My Neighbour Totoro, the enchanting anime cult classic, dominated the ceremony by taking home an incredible five major awards! The excitement doesn't stop there. Fans of the legendary music and lyric composer Stephen Sondheim will be thrilled to know that his work will be celebrated with the West End transfer of Old Friends. It has been announced that David Hunter and Joanna Woodward will star in the world premiere of The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical. The new musical, based on the novel and movie of the same name, will have its premiere at Storyhouse in Chester for a two-week run this autumn. It will run from 30 September to 15 October 2022, preceding a West End transfer; date to be announced. Tickets for The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical in London will be available at a later date. It has just been announced that the best-selling novel and film The Time Traveller’s Wife is being adapted into a new musical and it is set to have a UK premiere in late 2021/early 2022. The musical will have original music and lyrics by multi-award-winning composers Joss Stone and Dave Stewart, and a book by award-winning playwright Lauren Gunderson.
